Mary G. Severino, AIA, LEEDAP - MGZA Architecture

NAWBO Delaware - Mary SeverinoAn accomplished registered architect with over thirty years of professional experience, Mary G. Z. Severino founded her business in 1987. MGZA Architecture, (Zahn Incorporated) is a multi-disciplined architecture, planning and design consulting firm based in Wilmington, Delaware. A graduate of University of Michigan, with a Master of Architecture degree from the University of California, Berkeley, Ms. Severino is a specialist in organizational strategies, strategic building assessment and project progress management. She was the Design and Record Architect for the award-winning Norman H. Taylor Jr. Building for Artesian Water, the Rockford Tower restoration, and the new City of Wilmington’s Water Works Center, among others. She has participated on strategic advisory teams to several major organizations, including the PNC Realty Services, the City of Wilmington, City of Philadelphia, Artesian Resources Company, TA Instruments-Waters LLC, BlackRock Inc. and NorthEast Treatment Centers,. She is also a frequent editorial contributor to publications such as the Mid-Atlantic Real Estate Review.

Ms. Severino is the standing Vice President for the American Institute of Architects Delaware Chapter, is a Director of the Committee of 100 Delaware and has served on the Board of the Downtown YMCA in Wilmington. Ms. Severino has been a member of NAWBO since 1990 and is a former winner of NAWBO Philadelphia’s ‘Woman Business Owner of the Year’ award. Through her business, she has been a mentor and teacher to many young professional women over the years. In her spare time, she and her husband enjoy travel and activities with their 4-legged family member, Gabe their Pharaoh Hound.
